July 18, 2026 – Sean White, Secretary-General of the New Energy Industry Association for Asia and the Pacific (NEIAAP) and President of NorCal Solar, addressed the 2026 Global Green Development Summit (GGDS) today, briefly introducing NEIAAP at first, and then presenting two flagship initiatives that are shaping the future of renewable energy: the upcoming 20th SNEC Smart Energy Expo and the Global New Energy Empowerment Center (GNEEC) .

NEIAAP
NEIAAP is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable energy development across Asia and the Pacific. As a co-organizer of the SNEC Smart Expo in Shanghai, NEIAAP is delighted to participate in the Global Green Development Summit and hope to create synergies between SNEC and GGDS so as to foster cross-continental dialogue on green energy innovation and policy.
Speaking before an audience of international energy leaders, policymakers, and technology innovators, Mr. White positioned both SNEC and GNEEC as pivotal forces in the industry's transition from the "Watt Era" to the "Bits Era" — where artificial intelligence, energy storage, and advanced photovoltaics converge to redefine how energy is generated, managed, and distributed.

SNEC 2027: A Global Stage for Smart Energy
Mr. White announced that the 20th SNEC SMART E will take place June 2–4, 2027 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) , with the conference program running June 1–3.
According to Mr. White, the 2027 edition will showcase the industry's most transformative trends:
The event is expected to host over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 90 countries, occupy 360,000+ square meters of exhibition space, and attract over 500,000 visits — reaffirming its position as the world's premier gathering for the solar and smart energy community.
Co-located events include the 13th International Energy Storage and Battery Conference & Exhibition and the 11th International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Conference & Exhibition, reflecting the growing synergy across the entire new energy ecosystem.
GNEEC: A Strategic Gateway for Global Expansion
Mr. White also introduced the Global New Energy Empowerment Center (GNEEC) , described as a strategic industrial platform designed to support new energy enterprises in their international growth. GNEEC offers end-to-end services including:
The facility features a multi-functional conference hall, roadshow rooms, live streaming studios, brand showcase areas, and smart access systems — all equipped for seamless global connectivity.
Mr. White highlighted GNEEC's four core platforms:
He also noted the GNEEC Membership Program (USD 4,000/year), which offers exclusive access to investor and distributor networks, closed-door executive dialogues, R&D advisory, and priority brand promotion.
A Call for Global Collaboration
In closing, Mr. White invited the global clean energy community to participate in SNEC SMART E 2027 and explore partnership opportunities through GNEEC. "Together, we can accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon future," he said, emphasizing the importance of transcontinental cooperation between Asia and North America.
