Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, successfully hosted its Southeast Asia product launch in Manila, introducing two flagship innovations: the 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter and the PowerTitan 3.0 Energy Storage System (ESS). The event highlights Sungrow’s commitment to driving Southeast Asia’s clean energy transition with advanced technologies and sustainable solutions.
The 1+X 2.0 modular inverter delivers exceptional safety, flexibility, and cost efficiency. Featuring advanced protection systems, AI-driven diagnostics, and simplified operations and maintenance, it streamlines both installation and upkeep. With a unit capacity of 822 kW, its modular architecture ensures continuous operation even if one unit fails, minimizing energy loss and boosting overall system availability.
The PowerTitan 3.0 ESS brings higher energy density, smarter management, and superior reliability, offering industry-leading efficiency. Tailored to meet the Philippine market’s CAPEX requirements, it incorporates larger battery cells that increase round-trip efficiency while lowering capital expenditure. Building on proven deployments such as the 1.5 GWh CITICORE project in the Philippines—where the PowerTitan 2.0 ESS has enabled surplus solar power to be stored and dispatched during peak demand—the new system further reduces curtailment, enhances renewable utilization, stabilizes the grid, and improves financial returns. Mr. Michael Ruan, SEA General Manager of Sungrow, highlighted the broader impact of the launch: “The launch of 1+X 2.0 and PowerTitan 3.0 represents not only our technological leadership but also our long-term commitment to our regional partners and customers.”
