KP Group has announced a landmark strategic partnership with AHES Co. Ltd. of South Korea and GH2 Solar Ltd. of India to establish and operate a Green Ammonia production facility in India with an annual capacity of 100,000 metric tons. This collaboration marks an important step in KP Group’s efforts to expand green energy solutions, support industrial decarbonization, and align with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by KPI Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Private Limited (KPI GH), a KP Group company, together with AHES and GH2 Solar. Under the agreement, KPI GH will develop and operate the facility, while AHES and GH2 will provide technical and strategic support, including arranging offtake agreements for the Green Ammonia to be supplied to international markets such as South Korea, Japan, and other regions. AHES will also serve as one of the primary offtakers.

The new facility will utilize renewable energy and infrastructure from KP Group companies including KPI Green Energy Limited, K.P. Energy Limited, and KP Green Engineering Limited, ensuring a sustainable feedstock for ammonia production. This integrated model builds on KP Group’s three decades of expertise in renewable energy, with more than 1.9 GW of installed power capacity and an additional 3.9 GW under development.

AHES Co. Ltd., recognized as a leader in clean energy innovation in South Korea, specializes in hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturing, compressed hydrogen storage, and integrated Power-to-Gas solutions. Its participation provides advanced technological capabilities and direct international market access. GH2 Solar Ltd., an Indian renewable energy company with expertise in solar infrastructure, green hydrogen, and electrolyser manufacturing, will contribute local market knowledge and project execution capabilities.

Dr. Faruk Patel, Chairman & Managing Director – KP Group, stated, “This partnership exemplifies KP Group’s vision to lead clean energy innovation in India and abroad. With KPI GH operating the facility and strategic support from AHES and GH2, we are setting new benchmarks in green ammonia production and international collaboration.”

Key elements of the partnership include production and supply of 100,000 TPA of Green Ammonia, with pricing linked to international benchmarks for competitiveness; long-term offtake agreements arranged by AHES and GH2; and a 15-year collaboration framework. This initiative reflects KP Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and strengthens its role in driving India’s transition toward clean energy, while also supporting global demand for low-carbon industrial solutions.
